To wrap up the discussion on how being centered affects our set-up; Coach Wu Jian Lin shows us that regardless of where the hip lines up, the barbell must always remain mid-foot. If the knees shove forward, this pushes the barbell out front making YOU work harder to reign the barbell back into your rack.

With the goal of having a “straight pull” and minimizing transitions between the first and second pull phases, proper alignment will have the shoulders and knees stacked right on top of the bar.
