#Animation Wednesday! It’s been almost 5 months since I’ve started learning about Chinese weightlifting philosophy from Coach Wu (@wuchuanfu). He’s currently the Singaporean weightlifting federation team coach, but came up professionally in the Chinese weightlifting system.

To fully understand Coach Wu’s teachings, I’ve been re-stylizing my technique under his guidance to internalize a more Chinese-style pull. There’s still a long way to go to fully realize this methodology (my technique with this pull style is still not very sharp), but I was able to build up rather quickly to an easy 72kg snatch and 88kg clean this past Saturday.

Please excuse the laziness on the weight change. I had less than an hour during the seminar lunch break to warm up and then touch a heavy single on both lifts.
